Demo's & Clinics

Picture

One of the most fun ways to learn about The Balanced Rider is to hold a demo. This could be at your riding club, livery yard, private yard, riding school or at Quob Stables. We've done demo's in indoor schools, outdoor schools, haybarns, the corridor between stables in American barn's, and tents/pavillions - it is always good to a wet eather option.

Demo's can vary from three or four to fifty or more people and last 45 mins to 1 1/2 hrs.

Common demo scenarios:
a) Completely practical based for 4-8 people e.g. a group of friends, or a riding lesson class
b) Fun chatty demo with a few volunteers for 10 -30 people e.g. riding club camp
c) Informative lecture for 50+

Clinic's

An alternative to a demo is a clinic day. If there is a group of riders at a yard who all want assessments and treatments The Balanced Rider can come to you for a half or full day.

"Thank you Clare once again brilliant ! Can't thank you enough and on behalf of Rogate Riding Club you have made such a difference to so many of us x" Lisa Parker

"Thank you Clare for the great and insightful balanced rider clinic last week. I learnt so much and can't wait to try all the exercises out on the gym ball and to unhollow my back. Was riding my horse today and trying out what affect my seat bones had. Can't wait to learn more and hopefully see the improvement in my riding. I shall highly recommend you to all.... And at such a great price too!" Carly Hughes

The most popular demo is based at Quob Stables. It includes an hour getting to know the concept of The Balanced Rider and fun on the gym balls finding your seat bones and neutral spine, and improving your core stability. Followed by 1 1/2hrs on 'Legless' the mechanical horse initially assessing our riding positions then using various eas ideas and techniques to improve your riding.

"Thanks Claire for a brilliant and informative session this evening we all had fun and learnt a lot about our riding!   Look forward to working with you in the future."
Sharon Riley,  Solent Riding Club Committee

"Cracking group demo tonight with Clare - I think it was very enlightening for all of us :-) and lots of fun too" Gail Webb

"I have to say that I thouroughly enjoyed the entire experience and I'm looking forward to returning for my one to one prior to a ridden assessment and more exercises!

"The difference in my riding and the way my horse is going is incredible and was instant, finding my left seat bone for me was the biggest light switch moment ever, and has made such a difference. I can not rave enough about Clare's work, her enthusiasm and the results I've gained. I will be recommending Clare to lots of people."

Camps

The Balanced Rider has done several different types of camp for riding clubs, equestrian centres and private camps. These have ranged from group demo's for evening entertainment, to joint training sessions with the instructors, one-to-one assessments and treatments with participants, and video feedback sessions.

"I wanted to say thank you so much for coming to dressage camp again this year, I have received so many positive emails."   Sparsholt Dressage Camp 2012   Aby Latham-Moore, Events Organiser, Sparsholt College
